The immediate draw will be your sprawling view- because guys, this place is made of windows for days. The spacious lobby is centered around a 22-foot marble fireplace, reminiscent of the hearths found in many glamorous mid-century LA homes. Find strips of grass, stone tile flooring, nighttime lighting that mimics shadows cast by the sun, and an open-air pedestrian pathway between the lobby and nightlife area (which as a side note, is chiefly operated by the TAO group, featuring four on-site restaurants/bars) whose dividing half-walls are lined with candles to boot. Its modern simplicity seamlessly fuses its sleek, dramatic interiors with natural outdoor elements, making an “out as in” vibe all around. It’s the Southern California dream come to life (a statement that serves as the hotel’s mission, and of which it most definitely succeeds).
